We auto-detect headers like ASIN, EAN, Buy, Cost, Wholesale, Net.

ASINs are always supported. EAN/UPC support is gated on Amazon Product Advertising API credentials — if EANs in your file are skipped, the upload response will tell you.

VAT & profit math: Every buy price is treated as ex-VAT (the standard for UK wholesale). For each row we compute:

  • VAT-registered profit = (Amazon sell ÷ 1.2) − buy price ex-VAT − fees ex-VAT
  • Non-VAT-registered profit = Amazon sell − buy price × 1.2 − fees × 1.2 (Amazon charges 20% VAT on top of fees, non-reclaimable)
  • ROI = profit ÷ buy price inc-VAT (cash out of pocket — matches SellerAMP)
  • Verdict badge uses the VAT-registered profit (the conservative number for most members)

Standard 20% VAT is assumed across the catalogue. If your catalogue includes zero-rated items (books, condoms, sanitary products, most food) you can DM Lewis — we can scope a per-row VAT rate column if there's enough demand.

We never share your data. The catalogue is processed and discarded after scan.

  2. We fan out — every ASIN hits Amazon SP-API live for price, fees, sales rank, offer count.
  3. Profit calc — VAT-aware (both VAT-registered and non-registered), with margin + ROI.
  4. Verdict — every ASIN tagged 🟢 £5+ · 🟡 £2–5 · 🟠 £0–2 · 🔴 loss.
  5. Filter — sort by profit/ROI/rank/offers; export the winners.
  6. Email — we ping you when it's done so you don't have to babysit the page.

Frequently asked questions

What file formats can I upload?

CSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), or plain-text. Your file should have at least an ASIN column and a buy-price column. We auto-detect headers like "ASIN", "EAN", "Buy", "Cost", "Price", "Wholesale", "Net". If headers are missing, we use the first column as the ASIN and the second as the buy price.

How does Amazon profit get calculated?

For every ASIN we hit Amazon's Selling Partner API live: we pull the current Buy Box price (or lowest FBA/FBM price), the referral fee, and the FBA fulfilment fee for that exact product at that price. Then we run the same VAT-aware profit calculation as our public FBA fee calculator — both VAT-registered and non-VAT-registered scenarios.

Why are some rows skipped or red?

A row is "red" if the calculated profit is negative — typically because the buy box has dropped, the product has too many FBA competitors driving the price down, or the buy price is too high. A row is "skipped" if the ASIN has no live offers (out of stock, retired) or if Amazon SP-API returns an error for that specific ASIN. The job report tells you exactly why.

What are the tier limits?

Free tier: 1 scan per month, up to 200 ASINs per scan. Inner Circle Leads tier (£29.99/mo): 3 scans per month, up to 500 ASINs per scan. Inner Circle Mentorship tier (£59.99/mo): unlimited scans, up to 5,000 ASINs per scan. Can I upload EANs/barcodes instead of ASINs?

EAN→ASIN matching is launching shortly. For now please upload ASINs. If your wholesale catalogue only has EANs, we recommend using a free EAN-to-ASIN lookup tool first, or wait for our matching feature (free for all tiers when it launches).

How long does a scan take?

About 4-8 seconds per ASIN at 4 concurrent SP-API requests. A 100-ASIN scan finishes in roughly 2-4 minutes. We email you when it's done — or you can leave the results page open and watch progress live.
