What does £5,000 invested actually become?
Pick your investment, your ROI per deal, your cash cycle time — see exactly what it compounds to across months or years. Compare solo-seller returns against Inner Circle FBA member returns side-by-side.

or edit anything belowReality note: these numbers assume you can keep finding deals at the stated ROI as your capital grows. That gets harder above ~£20–30k working capital because the same deal pool can't soak up infinite money. Treat the year-1 figures as defensible; year-2+ assumes you scale sourcing alongside capital.

Compounding projection — not a guarantee. Assumes you can keep finding deals at the stated ROI as capital grows. Real businesses hit deal-flow ceilings, life happens, and ROI typically softens at scale. Use the inputs honestly, and treat year-2+ as a possibility rather than a plan.
How it works
Capital compounds, not sales
Most FBA calculators project sales numbers. This one projects what your CAPITAL becomes — because that's what people actually care about when they put money in. £5k, what does it look like in 6 months? 12? 24?
Cycle time is the real lever
Your per-deal ROI matters less than how many times a year your capital cycles. A 30% deal that recovers in 60 days runs 6 times a year. The same 30% deal at 90 days runs 4 times. That's the difference between a £15k year and a £10k year on the same £5k.
Solo vs Inner Circle compared
Three scenario presets show the typical solo seller (27% ROI, 75-day cycle) next to an Inner Circle FBA member (40–45% ROI, 60-day cycle). One click swaps everything. Honest comparison, side by side.
Withdrawal modelling
Reinvest everything to maximise compounding, or pull a monthly amount for living costs and watch growth slow. It's a useful sanity check: every £200/mo you take out in year 1 is missing capital that would have made multiples by year 3.
Frequently asked questions
What does this calculator actually project?
You enter how much money you're investing into Amazon FBA. The calculator compounds your capital month by month: each cycle (typically 60–75 days from buying stock to Amazon paying you out) your money returns plus a percentage profit, which gets reinvested into the next round of inventory. The headline number is what your initial investment grows to over your chosen time horizon — 12, 24, or 36 months.
How is "ROI per deal" different from the rate of return I keep seeing?
ROI per deal is the per-product return on cost — if you buy stock for £10 and net £3 profit after Amazon takes its fees, that's a 30% ROI deal. The annualised return on your CAPITAL is much higher because the same pot of money runs multiple cycles per year. £5k of capital at 30% ROI per deal with a 60-day cycle does 6 cycles a year — so the compounding effective return on capital is dramatically more than 30%.
Why does Inner Circle FBA show higher returns than solo?
Two reasons. First, members source at higher ROI on average — we model 30–35% blended account ROI vs 20–25% for a typical solo seller. (Our lead sheet itself averages 40% per deal, but the calculator de-rates that to 30–35% to reflect real-world friction: not every deal you buy works out as expected, some stock ages, returns clip a few points, and most members don't buy ONLY the 40% deals.) Second, capital cycles faster — closer to 60 days vs 75 for solo, because pre-vetted deals sell predictably. More cycles per year AT a higher per-cycle return compounds meaningfully over 12 months.
Is the year-1 number actually achievable?
Yes, with one honest caveat: it assumes you can keep finding deals at the stated ROI as your capital grows. For the first year on £5k of starting capital, that's broadly true — sourcing 30–40% ROI deals to absorb £5–15k of working capital is well within what the UK market supports. By year 2 or 3, when capital might be £30k+, deal-flow ceilings start to bite. You can't only buy the absolute best deals at infinite volume. The calculator gives you the upside; managing the ceiling is on you.
Should I leave the monthly withdrawal at £0?
If you're trying to build a business, yes — full reinvestment is what makes compounding work. Every £100 you take out in year 1 is missing capital that would have generated multiples of that by year 3. If you need income from FBA right away, set a withdrawal amount and watch how it slows growth. It's a useful exercise even if you ultimately decide to take less out.
Why use cycle time rather than monthly growth rate?
Because cycle time is the variable Amazon sellers actually feel. You buy stock, it ships, it sells, Amazon holds your money, then they pay you. That's your cash cycle — and how often it completes determines how many times a year your capital earns its per-deal ROI. "15% monthly growth" is an output, not a lever. Cycle time IS the lever you can pull — by sourcing faster-moving products, prepping more efficiently, or working an account that gets shorter Amazon payment holds.
